As of 8 a.m.this morning (a Sunday morning, no less) I'd already made coffee, started two loads of laundry and unloaded the dishwasher. What's wrong with this picture?!
I've been a domestic goddess for the better part of the weekend because, well, somebody's got to do it. And now that Dr. Darling is working, it seems that Saturdays and Sundays are realistically the only time during the week that either one of us has any energy for housework.
Which is why I declined the opportunity to babysit our niece and nephew (ages 1 and 3, respectively) in Halmstad this weekend. The Ph. D Postal Carrier went up though, and despite the assistance of her mother, came home absolutely exhausted tonight and announced that her biological clock had officially stopped ticking. Ouch.
