That which does not kill us makes us stronger...

    posted Saturday, 11 July 2009

So the nephew's first weekend stay at The Penthouse-Nordic is going well, unless you count an incident that involved whacking my boss's son with a hockey stick last night...which we don't because we're pretty sure it was an accident.

Goodness this lad is BUSY. It's just now lunchtime and I'm exhausted...and that's with Dr. Darling doing most of the heavy-lifting. I don't remember getting this worn out when looking after my nieces and nephews back in the U.S., but then again, I was 10 years younger then.

    LATER THAT SAME DAY...

I started this entry while sitting at a Malmö Public Library study table overlooking the the park where the two Swedes were romping (and getting filthy in the process).

Since then we've picked up McDonald's, walked home, inhaled the food, and then parked the little man in front of Nickelodeon so we can prepare for this evening's activity; a picnic with some friends in Folkets Park.

I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised to find out that Dr. Darling's prep work includes a nap.
