Shazzer (viewing a TV ad for canned corn): Who the hell puts corn in a salad?
Dr. Darling: Oh I think it's fairly common.
Shazzer: I NEVER put corn in a salad.
Dr. Darling: I've noticed.
Shazzer: Are you saying that you've spent the last six years eating my salads and thinking that the corn was missing?
Dr. Darling: Pretty much.
Shazzer: Maybe you'd like to take over the salad-making for the next six, then?
Dr. Darling: I don't miss the corn THAT much.
The only salads I have ever put corn in are Mexican Salads, moms 7-layer
salad and my bean salad/dip.
I have been known to put corn in salad...But my swede always questions it!
I know of a couple of salad recipes that call specifically for it, but it's
never occurred to me to put it on the typical green salads I make at home.
The commerical made it look as though it was a staple!
Interesting that you add corn and your Swede questions it, while I never
use it an my Swede feels like something's missing! LOL!
