Starting the day off in the wrong pants

Evidently newly re-arranged closets, combined with cold medicine and an alarm clock that goes off at 5 a.m., is a recipe for complete wardrobe break-down.

Not that there's really anything *wrong* with the pants that I have on...they even "go with" the shirt I was wearing when I realized I was not going to find the right trousers in time to make my train.  But they aren't the pants I was planning on, and that's really thrown me off my game. Of course this may also be the cold medicine talking...which is probably masking a slight hang-over from last night's "Karl Rove Resignation Party."

In any case, I have a really important meeting this afternoon and if it doesn't go well, I'm totally blaming it on the pants.
