Naked U.S. tourist shocks German city
Clearly this guy did not do much research prior to his trip to Nuremburg. He told the police officers who charged him with indecent exposure that he thought strolling around naked was perfectly acceptable in Germany. The story makes a point of mentioning that the slow streaker was not under the influence of drugs at the time, but he was carrying all of his clothes in a bag. This indicates to me that he didn't leave his hotel naked, but rather decided to strip down on his way to where ever he was going...so maybe being off medication was part of the problem.
Actually it's a bit of a misinformation, since the tourist wasn't
completely wrong either. There are parts in Germany where it actually is
allowed to walk around naked, but it simply doesn't count for every region.
Just like there are different laws for each state in the US in example
there are different laws for each region, province and municipalities.
Agreed Psycho Dude. I have friends in Germany and it's definitely a
regional thing...not to mention situational. Sunbathing in the buff is one
thing, but souvenir shopping is quite another!
NO, there is no town or city in Germany that allows that kind of behavior.
What you can do is naked sunbathing in parks or on lakes etc. that explicit
allow nudism.
What you can't do is swinging your wiener in front of others in a
pedestrial zone.
