    A few eagle-eyed readers have noticed the pink badge in the left-hand sidebar and have e-mailed me about it.  So here's the scoop:  earlier this month, some kind and possibly slightly imbalanced person submitted ShazzerSpeak to a Lesbian Blog of the Year (2006) contest.

    To say I was stunned is a bit of an understatement, primarily because I just don't think I'm a very good lesbian blogger.  Oh I'm diligent enough at the blogging part...I think I even manage to entertain readers on occasion. But the fact is, I'm just not a very good lesbian. Even Dr. Darling will tell you so, though I'm not sure how much you should trust her judgement since she's not all that spectacular at it either. (Let's just say her PhD is not the Sapphic Sciences.)

    So while I'm enormously flattered that someone submitted my blog to this competition and I know there's not a chance in hell I'll possibly win the thing...feel free to click on the pink badge and second my nomination.  Because until somebody sponsors a "Bad Lesbian Blog of the Year" competition, this is as good as it's going to get!
