    Add Maine to the growing list of states where same-sex couples can marry.

    I particularly like the name of the new law:

    LD 1020, An Act to End Discrimination in Civil Marriage and Affirm Religious Freedom

    It’s got something for everyone, including the fundies!

    Gov. John Balducci’s statement on his decision to sign the legistation is a really good read. Like many people who previously supported civil unions for gay couples, he’s come around to the reality that separate is not equal.
